October GED Student of the Month
THANKSGIVING BREAK: Wednesday, 11/23, - Friday, 11/25. School resumes on Monday, 11/28.
REMOTE LEARNING DAYS: Next Monday, 11/21, and Tuesday, 11/22, will be remote days for all READY students, due to new carpet being installed in the classrooms on those two days.

ATTENTION ALL GRADUATING STUDENTS:
This Thursday, 11/10 at 10:00 AM, READY will have a 2022-23 graduate meeting for seniors. Parents are welcome to attend as well. An ISAC (Illinois Student Assistance Commission) representative will be be available to assist students and parents who need help completing their FAFSA. Students will also be given graduation information from their home schools, and take senior pictures. Parents who wish to attend should call the school at 217-239-0322 to RSVP.
What to bring for completing the FAFSA:
Students:
• Social Security
• Driver's License (if applicable)
• List of up to 10 colleges they want to attend
• 1040 Tax Returns year 2021 (if they filed taxes)
• W-2 year 2021 (if applicable)
Parents:
• Social Security (if they have one, otherwise it is okay)
• Tax Returns 1040 of year 2021
• W-2 (year 2021 if applicable)
• Any other tax based forms including investments, 401K plans, etc

On Wednesday, September 7th, there will be a community meeting being held to come up with solutions to the gun violence in our community and to hear concerns from community members. Please feel free to attend. Thank you.
READY REMINDER: If you have not registered your student yet, please call the office at 217-239-0322 to schedule a time and date to do so. ALL STUDENTS must be registered at their HOME SCHOOL as well. The first day of school for NEW STUDENTS ONLY is Tuesday, 8/16. ALL STUDENTS will attend on Wednesday, 8/17.

READY UPDATE: The READY Program will use an E-Learning Day tomorrow, Thursday, 02/17, due to inclement weather that is forecasted for the area.
We will be synchronous and follow the Flex Schedule.

READY REMINDER:
All students will have an early out tomorrow, Friday, January 14th, at 12:00 pm, due to a School Improvement day for teachers and staff. There is NO school on Monday, January 17th, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
School will resume on Tuesday, January 18th.

This is a reminder of our mask mandate for all students while in attendance at the READY Program. Gators and full face masks are not approved masks, nor acceptable, according to the CDC's guidelines. All students must wear an appropriate fitting mask above their nose and below their chin. We do provide CDC approved masks at the school, if your child is in need of one. We will be strictly enforcing the mask policy and appreciate everyone's cooperation in order to maintain a safe and healthy school environment. Any student refusing to comply with this policy will result in a parent contact and the student will be sent home.
READY REMINDER: This Thursday, 12/16, and Friday, 12/17, are student finals. Students will have an early dismissal on both days at 12:00 p.m. Please make sure your student arrives to school on time, as they will not be allowed into a final if they are late. Winter Vacation is 12/20 - 12/31 and all students will return on Monday, 01/03.

READY ANNOUNCEMENT:
READY students will be REMOTE ONLY on Monday, 11/22, and Tuesday, 11/23. We will be asynchronous during those two days and students will be required to log in to their Google Classrooms for their assignments and to meet with their teachers.
Thanksgiving break will begin on Wednesday, 11/24, and go through Friday, 11/26.
Students will return to In-Person learning on Monday, 11/29.

This Friday, November 12th, will be an E-Learning day for all READY students. Students will log in to their Google Classroom and complete their assigned work. There will be NO in-person learning on Friday.
