Building Relationships | This professional development focuses on why building relationships with students is vital. The presentation covers what students are facing, the effects of positive relationships, and how to start building these relationships. Different levels of relationships and strategies on how to connect with students will also be discussed. |
Overview of Behaviors | Students who exhibit negative behavior is a big challenge for all educators. In this professional development, we will go over a framework of behavior and how educators can respond to challenging behaviors that will support student growth and learning. We will discuss various strategies educators can implement to manage students behavior and ultimately teach replacement behaviors. |
Trauma Informed Practices | In this professional development, educators will gain a better understanding of what childhood trauma looks like, potential causes, how it can portray itself in the classroom, and strategies to use when working with students who have experienced trauma. Educator self-care importance and implementation ideas will be discussed. |
